Product description The 48-Bay 5U Netstor SAS to SAS/SATA JBOD Storage Enclosure from Dynapower USA is a high-density storage enclosure designed for HPC (High-Performance Computing) application of mass capacity storage. It significantly and effectively saves the cost for spaces needed within the 19" (48.3) rack and the cabinet room. It adopts 80 plus redundant power supply, which efficiently supplies power to the enclosure and ensures a lower budget for the maintenance of the arrays of mass capacity storage. The Storage Enclosure is built with the latest 6 Gb/s SAS expansion technology that makes 6 Gb/s SAS/SATA 3.5" hard disk drives available to the enclosure. Therefore, both high-density and high-performance features are presented through the 48-bay rack mount storage. The innovative SAS expansion technology makes each SAS host RAID card capable to support up to 128 hard drives. In addition, the technology allows the enclosure to support SES-2 protocols for host management of cascaded external enclosures. It is provided with 48 hot-swappable hard disk drive trays, each built with an HDD failure LED indicator to let you avoid pulling out the wrong drives that lead to loss of data stored on the RAID volumes. The high-density 48-bay rack mount storage provides excellent enclosure management covering and monitoring all components and audible/visual alerts for fan, power supply failures and over-temperature. The LCD displays are placed in front of the enclosure to immediately provide you the status of all units. The built-in 8 large 4.7 x 4.7 x 1.0" (120 x 120 x 25mm) cooling fans provide best airflow ventilation for drives while maintaining low sound volume, thus eliminating the noise resulting from the cabinet room. - High-density 5U 48-bay rack mount chassis
