Product description The COMSTAR XT-3 3-User Full Duplex Wireless Intercom System from Eartec is a fully-functional wireless intercom that offers full duplex communication in a simple design that does not require the use of beltpacks. This particular iteration of the system is intended for use in Australia.
The system consists of a Com-Center base station and 3 wireless headsets. Additional headsets can be added to the system, allowing you to create a wireless network of up to 8 users who can all communicate simultaneously with no delay or voice activation, ideal for applications where teams need full use of their hands. You can even split users into 2 groups of 4 people, or bring everyone together in conference mode.
Each headset connects wirelessly to the Com-Center at distances of up to 400 yards in any direction, allowing the headsets to be up to 800 yards apart while still enjoying full communication capabilities. The around-ear cushions and padded headbands provide lasting comfort for all-day use. Integrated controls make it easy to adjust the volume of the headsets and program them in the field. The COMSTAR system is self tuning, so no remote antenna is needed.
Each headset has a microphone at the end of a positionable boom, allowing you to place the mic in the best spot for excellent vocal pickup. A foam windscreen reduces the effects of wind noise and breath pops for ultimate clarity. The headsets have rechargeable lithium batteries that provide up to 10 hours of operation, while the Com-Center has a rechargeable NiMH battery that provides up to 6 hours of operation. The Com-Center also has an AC wall plug and a battery sled for disposable AA batteries to give you additional powering options. A multi-port desktop charger is included that allows you to charge the Com-Center and headset batteries simultaneously. Note: Additional headsets available separately for system expansion. - XT Com-Center Dual Channel Base Station (Australia) The Eartec XT Com-Center Dual Channel Base Station is the centralized base transciever for up to 8 wireless headsets / beltpacks in the Comstar XT series. Achieve full duplex communication with 2 groups of 4 people, or 8 total in conference mode. Setup couldn't be easier as there are no channels to set, and the antennae for the base station are built in. The XT Com-Center Base Station may be powered with the included AC adapter, optional rechargeable batteries or alkaline batteries. Headsets are sole separately, allowing systems to be configured as desired.

The unique design of this headset eliminates interconnecting wires and belt pack radios. To ensure rugged durability, an antenna has been installed inside the ear cup. The headset operates with a rechargeable Li-ion battery, which is functional up to 10 hours.

It operates on the 1,900 MHz band, which was created by the FCC for clear voice communication. This full duplex headset is an easy-to-use and reliable wireless system.
