Product description Quantum Leap Silk from Quantum Leap (distributed by EastWest) is a virtual instrument that features authentic sounds from China, Persia and India. Performed by master musicians, all of the recordings were made with vintage Neumann microphones, Neve consoles, and Meitner converters.The multi-sampled instruments include special articulations, interval sampling (where appropriate), round robins (alternate samples), legato scripting, and phrases, making it possible to create life-like performances. Silk includes the PLAY 32-/64-bit interface with state of the art convolution reverb, scripting, and a micro-tuning system. Note: This product is an educational discounted version available to qualified students, faculty/staff, and accredited academic institutions only. Proof of current educational status is required. - Virtual ethnic instrument with instruments from China, Persia, and India

- Recorded legato intervals for erhu, zhonghu, jinhu, electric cello, kemenche, duduk, 30-piece string section, dilruba, bansuri
- User interface custom-designed for each virtual instrument, including only the controls needed
- 64-bit support allows for loading many more instruments and voices, limited only by system RAM
- Easy to use browser displays all of your instruments – interface automatically changes to display current instrument
- Articulation list shows all expressions within the instrument – no need to look up key-switches
- Real-time performance analysis detects legato and repetitive playing and responds accordingly
- Load as many instruments as your computer can handle in one application
- Stereo handling allows swapping left and right channels, mono from left, mono from right, or mono sum
- Effects include an impulse response reverb, filters, and specialized effects such as Artificial Double Tracking (ADT)
- Easy authorization system puts licenses on hardware iLok, allowing you to use your software on any computer
