Product description The AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band USB 3.0 Adapter from EDIMAX Technology is the latest and fastest wireless standard. Super-speed 802.11ac dual-band routers are already available but older wireless devices don't support 802.11n technology. This USB 3.0 adapter lets you upgrade your wireless device to dual-band 802.11ac connectivity for fast Wi-Fi speeds on the interference free 5 GHz frequency band. - USB 3.0
- USB 3.0 is up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 and specifies a maximum transmission speed of to 5 Gb/s. Providing quicker data transmission times, and backwards compatibility with USB 2.0 (which specifies a maximum speed of 480 Mb/s), USB 3.0 is the new standard in connectivity, enabling devices to achieve the superfast speeds which 802.11ac can provide.

- The Edimax EW-7822UAC is the next generation of Wi-Fi adapter, compatible with the draft 802.11ac standard and delivering speeds of up to 867 Mb/s at 5 GHz, which is almost three times as fast as 802.11n. The EW-7822AC can upgrade PCs and notebooks to super high speed 802.11ac Wi-Fi with streaming video and data at speeds of up to 867 Mb/s.
