Product description Enjoy balanced stereo sound with your amplifier and this pair of ELAC Uni-Fi UB5 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers. They feature a 3-way design with a 1" soft dome tweeter concentrically mounted to a 4" aluminum cone midrange driver, and a 5.25" aluminum cone woofer. The speakers accept 40 to 140W of power from your amplifier, have a 46 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response, and were designed by Andrew Jones. - Concentric Tweeter and Midrange
- Positioning the 1" soft-dome tweeter and aluminum 4" midrange cone concentrically helps achieve a uniform directivity pattern for flat frequency response and enhanced imaging for both on- and off-axis listening positions.
- Aluminum Woofers
- With aluminum, resonances that affect the linearity of paper cones can be placed beyond the driver's operating frequency range. An extended-size magnet with a vented pole piece is designed to increase power handling for accurate reproduction of bass frequencies that are clean and clear.
- Three-Way Crossover
- The three-way crossover is designed to ensure smooth transition between the drivers.
- Braced MDF Cabinet
- The internal bracing is designed to add stiffness and strength to the cabinet's MDF outer walls, helping to reduce cabinet vibration that causes unwanted coloration.
- Magnetically Attached Grille
- When the protective grille is removed, hidden magnets beneath the surface of the cabinet keep the front panel free of attachment holes for a clean appearance.
