Product description The Emulation Touch-1 from Elation Professional is the hardware brain that drives your DMX system. It handles all the DMX level calculations, cue timings, and the FX engine. Although it does not include Wi-Fi, you can interface with the Cuety app (free download) for the iPad (not included) allowing you to control the Touch-1 wirelessly over your hard-wired network. You can also use the Cuety Remote app for iPhone (not included) to trigger playback in the Cuety app, but you cannot program from the Cuety Remote.
As the Touch-1 stores all the information and performs all the necessary calculations; once you have set up the program you can disconnect the Cuety app and the Touch-1 will run through the active cues. Featuring an integrated 3-Pin XLR connector for DMX-512 out the Touch-1 also incorporates an isolated RJ-45 that you use to connect to your network. The Touch-1 supports DMX-512, Art-Net, and RS-232 protocols. - Apps

- The compatible apps are more accurately described as interfaces, as all the work is done by the hardware. The Cuety app allows you to set and edit settings.
- The Cuety Remote app for iPhone (not included) allows you to trigger playback buttons, but does not allow you to program or edit the contents of your program.
- The Emulation lighting Control System is a more powerful programming system than the Cuety, and you can use the Cuety Remote app to trigger Emulation cue's as well.
- FX

- FX allows you to quickly program dynamic lighting effects. Normally to animate your lighting you usually create multiple cues and have the playback chase between them.
- However, you can use FX to quickly create a dynamic animation in your lighting. For example, a smooth circular movement on your moving head or scan would require you to program many steps. With FX you simply select the Circle effect for your position attribute, set a few parameter levels and it's done.
- Network
- The Touch-1 connects to your network via the built-in RJ-45 port. You connect your iPad (not included) running the Cuety app to your network wirelessly, and this enables network communication between your iPad and the Touch-1.
- Protocols
- The Touch-1 supports DMX, Art-Net, RS-232, and is suitable for temporary or permanent installations.
- Mounting
- The Touch-1 mounts via DIN Rails, and can be secured by sing a Kensington-type laptop lock.
