Product description Intended primarily for use with electric guitar, the Crayon 76 from Electro-Harmonix is a full-range overdrive pedal with bass and treble controls for adding more color to a wide variety of overdriven and distorted tones. It can add subtle dirt, and even lend some warmth to a single-coil pickup in the bridge position, emphasizing the treble range with a little buzz, and without ever sounding harsh—or even achieving a garage-rocky, dirty mid-boost by rolling back the levels of both bass and treble.Four knobs are available for your control—Drive, Volume, Bass, and Treble. Drive dictates the amount of overdrive, Volume provides level control, and the other two shape the timbre of your sound. True bypass circuitry ensures that in bypass mode, your signal is truly unprocessed. The pedal sounds warm and lush on its own, but also plays well with other stompboxes on the board for stacking effects or when driving another overdrive pedal. This is a mono pedal, with one 1/4” instrument input and one 1/4" instrument output. It runs on the included 9V battery, though it will also work with the separately available Electro-Harmonix 9.6 VDC 200mA power supply. The only difference between the Crayon 76 and the Crayon 69 is cosmetic, so choose whichever design best suits your look—or get both and use them together with different settings to complement each other. - Controls at a Glance
- GAIN Knob: This controls the amount of input gain. As you turn it clockwise, the overdrive ranges from just a touch of grit, in the fully counter-clockwise position, to classic distortion, in the fully clockwise setting.
VOL Knob: The control sets the output level of the Crayon. As VOL is turned clockwise, the output volume increases.
TREBLE Knob: As you turn TREBLE clockwise, the overdrive's high end is accentuated, making your tone brighter. Turn TREBLE counter-clockwise for a darker sound.
BASS Knob: As you turn BASS clockwise, the low end is boosted. Turn BASS counter-clockwise to reduce low end. UPC: 683274011776 In the Box Electro-Harmonix Crayon 76 Full-Range Overdrive Pedal with Bass and Treble Controls 9V Battery Limited 1-Year Warranty Table of Contents
