Product description The Holy Grail Max from Electro-Harmonix is a compact reverb pedal that features four different reverb algorithms: Spring, Hall, Plate, and Reverse. The algorithms were designed and tailored for the electric guitar, but work equally well with most instruments and voices. Controls are included for Time and Blend. The Time knob adjusts the reverb's decay when in Spring, Hall, and Plate modes. In Reverse mode, it regulates the length of time between striking a note and the reverb fade-in. While in Plate mode, when Time is set to its maximum position, the reverb decay is over 30 seconds long, creating a lush reverb wash with each new note. A Blend knob adjusts the wet/dry mix. The unit is enclosed in a tough and compact die-cast chassis, and comes with a US9.6VDC-200BI power supply.
The Spring algorithm is a re-creation of the classic spring reverbs that are found in many guitar amplifiers. The Hall algorithm simulates the reverberations heard in large spaces such as concert halls and cathedrals. The Plate algorithm is an emulation of a metal plate reverb which was commonly found in high-end recording studios during the 1960s and '70s; it is a very smooth, tonally balanced reverb that works well on many different instruments, and especially on vocals. Reverse Reverb is an emulation of the reverse reverb trick commonly performed in studios. True bypass switching ensures your tone won't be affected when the pedal is bypassed. Note: Use only the US9.6VDC-200BI power supply provided with the unit. Using other AC adapters, even those made by Electro-Harmonix, could cause harm to the unit or the adapter. The Holy Grail Max requires 9 VDC @ 80 mA with a center negative plug and does not use batteries.
