Product description The Iron Lung Vocoder from Electro-Harmonics is a versatile and easy-to-use pedal vocoder which allows you to get a wide array of classic and modern vocoder sounds without large rack equipment, computer plug-ins, or large keyboards. The Iron Lung provides the same vocoding algorithm as the V-256 vocoder, but is housed in a die-cast chassis which is significantly smaller than that of the V-256.
The unit uses the highest resolution of 256 bands to deliver defined vocoder performance. The Gender Bender control enables you to adjust male to female emphasis, and the XLR input allows your microphone of choice to be used with three independent gain controls. The tone control integrates with the Gender Bender to refine the tone and make it exactly what you want it to be. A guitar or keyboard can be used for polyphonic delivery. The Iron Lung comes with an AC adapter and is compatible with Boss style AC adapters. Note: It is recommended that you only use the AC adapter supplied with the unit. Using other AC adapters, even those made by Electro-Harmonix, could cause harm to the unit or the adapter. The Iron Lung does not take batteries. - Gender Bender knob for male to female emphasis
- XLR microphone input with three independent gain settings
- Tone control for frequency definition
- Guitar Bypass or Split Guitar/Vocal Bypass (requires insert cable, not included)
