Product description The Elmo USB Dongle for CRA-1 is a wireless USB adapter for the CRA-1 Wireless Slate / Tablet. It is a replacement for the one supplied with the CRA-1. The dongle / adapter is inserted into an available USB port on your computer. The adapter can also be stowed in the adapter storage slot in the base of the CRA-1 tablet.
Like the tablet, the USB dongle features a wireless settings button with an LED light, which is used when performing communication settings with the tablet. The tablet's status LED flashes if tablet communication cannot be performed, prompting you to press the wireless settings button on the tablet and then, within 30 seconds, press the one on the dongle itself. The status LED will turn off to indicate that the tablet and wireless adapter can now communicate. Note: Communication range between tablet and wireless adapter may be shortened, or communication may become unstable, if: There is obstruction between the tablet and wireless adapter; tablet is used while placed on top of a PC; wireless device or electronic equipment is being used nearby; or tablet is moved while in use. Also, due to the nature of wireless, certain positional relationships may cause unstable communication. - Uses 2.4 GHz wireless band
- Operating range of about 49' (15 m)
- Gets inserted into available USB port on your IBM compatible computer with Windows 7 (32-bit) / Vista SP1 (32-bit) / XP SP2 (32-bit) OS. May not operate correctly if a USB hub is used
- Can be stowed in adapter storage slot in base of CRA-1 tablet. Falling prevention lock is applied for security
- Wireless settings button with LED light, used when performing communication settings with tablet. Tablet's LED flashes if communication can't be performed, prompting you to press wireless settings button on tablet and, within 30 seconds, press button on dongle. High-speed flashing will occur. Normal-speed flashing indicates inability to communicate. Both status LED's turn off to indicate that tablet and wireless adapter can communicate
