Product description Featuring a built-in 5.8 GHz receiver and DVR, this Elvid SkyVision allows you to wirelessly receive and record video and audio from RC vehicles with 5.8 GHz transmitters. This includes DJI and most other quadcopters. The monitor also supports other devices with 5.8 GHz transmitters, such as security cameras. The built-in DVR allows you to record your RF incoming video to optional microSD cards. Equipped with HDMI and composite video connections, this monitor also provides the flexibility of being used as a standard on-camera video monitor. It features a 7" screen with 1024 x 600 resolution, which allows you to view either SD or HD video with minimal scaling or windowing providing a large enough image. (The DVR records RF video signals only.)
The DVR allows you to set the recording resolution to 720 x 576, 640 x 480, or 320 x 240, for reasons including saving on storage space. It also offers a loop recording function that helps you maintain specific file lengths. You can choose intervals of 3, 5, or 10 minutes, and when recording reaches the end of the designated time limit, the DVR will loop back to the beginning of the file and overwrite the previously recorded content. This mode is ideal for surveillance applications. The DVR also features a motion detection function that can be set up to automatically begin recording when a moving object is detected. An added benefit of the DVR is that it also allows you to record any on-screen readouts, such as altitude and velocity, that your RC vehicle's transmitter may provide. This info can be useful at a later time when you may want to compare/contrast images.
An RF signal is supported via a single antenna. With RF signals being analog, the monitor allows the image to degrade but remain visible instead of shutting off if the signal fades below a certain threshold.
The monitor is powered by optional Sony L Series type batteries via the built-in L type battery plate. A removable plastic sun hood is supplied to provide protection from glare and exposure to sunlight. The hood is collapsible on all of its three sides and can be used as protection for the screen during transport in its collapsed state. - Built-In 5.8 GHz Receiver
- This SkyVision features a built-in 5.8 GHz receiver that works with your 5.8 GHz composite video transmitter. It is well suited for use with quadcopter-mounted cameras and can also be used on location with other wireless camera systems.
- 32 Channels over 4 Bands
- The SkyVision offers a variety of wireless options, with 32 channels over 4 bands. User selectable DIP switches allow you to tune the monitor's receiver to the cleanest channel.
- Analog RF Signal Input
- If reception between the SkyVision and your wireless transmitter weakens, the monitor will display the incoming video signal with a bit of snow instead of defaulting to a blank or blue screen.
- Built-In DVR
- The built-in DVR allows you to record your incoming wireless video to optional microSD cards. You can set the recording resolution to 720 x 576, 640 x 480, or 320 x 240. An added benefit of the DVR is that it also allows you to record any on-screen readouts, such as altitude and velocity, that your RC vehicle's transmitter provides. This info can be useful at a later time when you may want to compare/contrast images.
- DVR Loop Recording
- The DVR offers a loop recording feature that helps you maintain specific file lengths. You can choose intervals of 3, 5, or 10 minutes, and when recording reaches the end of the designated time limit, the DVR will loop back to the beginning of the file and overwrite the previously recorded content. This mode is ideal for surveillance applications.
- DVR Motion Detection
- In motion detection mode, the DVR will automatically begin recording when a moving object is detected.
- HDMI & Composite Connections
- The SkyVision is also equipped HDMI and composite video connections for use as a standard on-camera video monitor.
- Check Field Mode
- The Check Field mode helps you calibrate the monitor by displaying only the selected color on-screen. Choose from red, green, blue, or mono for a grayscale image.
- Focus Tool
- The Focus Tool helps you determine the areas of the image that are in focus by increasing the sharpness and contrast of the monitor and exaggerating in-focus areas of the picture.
- Selectable Color Temperature
- Switch between 9300K, 7500K, and 6500K color temperature to optimize the screen. Advanced users can also configure a custom setting. The Color Temperature setting is available when the monitor is set to HDMI input.
- Safety Frame Markers
- Select from 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, or 96% safety frame markers.
- DSLR Mode
- If you're shooting on a DSLR, you can scale the incoming video signal to fill the screen.
- Audio Monitoring
- Monitor your incoming audio signal from the built-in speaker or 3.5mm headphone jack.
