It's intended for composers, teachers, hobbyists, or anyone else seeking to compose and arrange on their Windows computer. This software allows you to enter notes in a variety of ways, whether you're utilizing your computer's keyboard for Quick Input mode or inputting notes via MIDI-control/keyboard. For additional ease of use, an onscreen keyboard and virtual-guitar fingerboard allow you to play melodies into the software with your mouse. Also included is the ability to extract individual parts from MIDI files, a feature useful in tailoring scores to the exact need of a given situation. This software is intended for use with computers operating in Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10. - Visual Controls
- Elements in MagicScore Maestro are completely editable to taste via manipulation of clef signs, brackets, bar lines, articulations, or individual notes. This software allows you to place each element precisely where you it them on the page to create a legible, professional-looking score.
- Audio Controls
- Tools are provided to help you fine-tune audio playback, allowing you to control minute details such as the attack and release of an individual note. Full ensembles or individual instrumental parts can then be played back or exported directly into MP3 or WAV format audio files using realistic on-board Maestro sounds, allowing players to aurally reference the their individual parts as need be.
- Publishing Options
- Save your score in a variety of formats, including PDF, MusicXML, MIDI, KAR (Karaoke format) and SFD (MusicScore's proprietary notation file format). You can also utilize various pictorial formats, including JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, and WMF. Additionally, you can upload files to a web site and directly embed scores into any web page, giving visitors the ability to play, listen, transpose, or print the music as needed.
- Educational Uses & 3rd-Party Compatibility
- Teachers and ensemble conductors can use MagicScore Maestro to create music education worksheets, playing exams, and study guides. Once the music has been entered into the system, educators can export individual lines of the score to create recordings that students can use in their practice routines. A "Copy as Picture" feature allows you to export portions of the score as image files that can be used with Microsoft Word or other similar programs, for integration in presentations and handouts. You can also use MagicScore Maestro in concert with a video projector to demonstrate musical concepts in a lecture-based setting. Conversely, you can embed documents from other software (MS Word, Photoshop, Corel, Excel, and others) directly into your MagicScore Maestro score.
