Product description The EPIX TWAIN Driver is a 32-bit Windows application that enables a PIXCI imaging board to function as a TWAIN source, and this allows any TWAIN-compliant application to capture images from the PIXCI. The TWAIN Driver supports all PIXCI imaging boards and includes both a "Standalone" driver and a "Sourcery" driver that works in conjunction with EPIX XCAP-LITE, XCAP-LTD, or XCAP-STD processing software. The Standalone driver provides limited interactive imaging board and camera controls. It has minimal computer system requirements and works without any other EPIX imaging application. The Sourcery driver enables sharing of all the imaging board and camera controls of the XCAP software, and it allows other TWAIN applications to access image data through the TWAIN interface. The TWAIN Driver supports the same bit depths as the PIXCI, but it is also capable of converting to 8- and 10-bit monochrome or 24- and 48-bit RGB for TWAIN applications that don't support 10- to 14-bit pixels. Two Drivers: Standalone and Sourcery - Standalone for PIXCI SV2, SV3, SV4, SV5, and SV5A with snap, live, input, brightness, and contrast controls
- Standalone for PIXCI CL1, CL2, CL3SD, D, D32, D2X, D3X, E1, E4, E1DB, E4DB, EC1, EL1, and EL1DB with snap control
Additional Info - The TWAIN Driver should not be confused with the XCAP feature as a TWAIN-compliant application. The TWAIN Driver software allows other applications, such as Image-Pro or Photoshop, to directly capture images via the PIXCI imaging board, possibly using XCAP for control of the camera and PIXCI board. The latter allows XCAP to capture and analyze images from scanners or cameras that provide their own interface hardware and TWAIN driver, and it doesn't involve use of a PIXCI board.
