Product description With a short 0.48:1 throw ratio, the BrightLink 536Wi Interactive WXGA 3LCD Projector from Epson is optimized for classroom and small auditorium installations where the projector needs to be placed close to the screen or whiteboard. Interactive functionality is built in and an interactive pen for virtual annotation is included to get you started. The projector features a 3400 lumens brightness, which means it can be used with a fair amount of ambient light present in the room. Its WXGA (1280 x 800) native resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio make it adaptable to PowerPoint slides and HD video content alike.
To facilitate connection to a diverse range of devices, a number of digital and analog connectors are provided. For direct connection with computers that have digital output, tablets, Blu-ray players, and other HDTV equipment there is an HDMI port. For analog-output computers and many existing integrated A/V systems, there are two VGA inputs plus a single VGA output that loops through the selected incoming signal. For legacy video equipment there is S-video plus composite video, and a total of three analog audio inputs are provided. A built-in 16-watt speaker enables using the projector where no separate sound system is available, and a mic input means the presenter can take advantage of amplified sound as well. Ethernet allows remote projection from up to 50 computers on the network and facilitates centralized management. There is also a separately available Wi-Fi dongle so speakers - or even audience members - can conveniently link up and project from their personal devices without having to fiddle with HDMI or video cables. Projection System - 3400 Lumens Lamp
- A single lamp provides 3400 lumens brightness in Normal mode, and is estimated to last 5000 hours. To determine the ideal brightness level for your application, you will need to take into account the screen width, distance from the projector to the screen (throw distance), amount of ambient light near the screen, and the reflectivity (gain) of the screen surface used
- 16:10 Native Aspect Ratio
- This projector features a 16:10 native aspect ratio. This is considered a widescreen format, and comes very close to the 16:9 standard of HDTV. This format is ideal if you plan to show HD video, and can still be used for presentations - though in the case of PowerPoints some extra space may be leftover on the sides. The projector can show 4:3 too; however black bars (pillaring) will have to be applied, or the image will have to be stretched or cropped to fit
- Short Throw Design
- With a 0.48 optical throw ratio it is possible to render a 72"-wide image with the projector mounted just under 36" away from the screen. By mounting at such a close distance the risk of shadow interference and potentially dazzling specular reflections are greatly reduced
Interactive Functionality - Interactive Pen
- Annotate and interact with projected images, using the interactive pen (one included). A digital whiteboard is not required - use an existing whiteboard, wall, or projection screen
- Moderator Function
- The multi-PC projection and Moderator function allows up to 50 devices to connect over a network and then select up to four to project simultaneously
- Supports Third-Party Automation Software
- Use familiar teaching applications such as Promethean ActivInspire, SMART Notebook, and MimioStudio (available separately)
- Optional Wireless Module
- With the separately available Wi-Fi dongle you can project wirelessly from and iPad, iPhone, Android tablet, or smartphone with the free Epson iProjection App
