Product description Take on demanding print jobs with ease by using the highly-capable WorkForce Pro WF-4740 All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Epson, which even packs in scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. Using PrecisionCore inkjet printing technology, users will enjoy sharp, vivid documents at up to 4800 x 1200 dpi while also conserving resources. The printer is quite fast, able to work at ISO speeds of up to 24 ppm in black and 22 ppm in color. Also, it can work with a variety of media types up to large banners measuring 8.5 x 47.2" and offers automatic duplexing in every mode, to save on paper and time. Along with all these features, the printer is able to be set up as a wireless unit, benefitting from both Wi-Fi Direct and NFC for direct connection to a smart device.
Scanning, copying, and faxing is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7" flatbed and a 50-sheet ADF. An optical scan resolution of 1200 dpi helps users capture sharp, detailed images. General media handling is done via two 250-sheet paper trays, allowing users to load multiple media types at the same time. Users will benefit from intuitive operation as well thanks to a large 4.3" color touchscreen and a front USB port for directly printing from or scanning to a portable drive. Additionally, standard USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity is available along with built-in Wi-Fi. - PrecisionCore 4S printhead with 4-color drop-on-demand inkjet technology for finely detailed images with vivid colors. It is able to work at resolutions up to 4800 x 1200 dpi and create ink droplets as small as 3.8pL.
- ISO print speeds of up to 24 ppm in black and 22 ppm in color as well as duplex print speeds of 14 ppm in black and color.
- Wi-Fi Direct and NFC connectivity options allow for direct printing from mobile device via numerous protocols, including Epson Connect Solutions, Epson Email Print, Epson Remote Print, Epson iPrint App, Creative Print App, Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Android printing, Fire OS printing, Mopria Print Service, and scan to cloud.
- DURABrite Ultra pigment-based ink is smudge, fade, and water resistant and has a rated fade resistance/print longevity of up to 84 years.
- This unit has a rated monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages with a recommended monthly volume of 1500 pages.
- The flatbed scanner can work with media up to 8.5 x 11.7" while the 50-sheet duplexing ADF can handle documents up to 8.5 x 14".
- An optical resolution of 1200 dpi and hardware resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi can be interpolated up to 9600 dpi. Also, the scanner features a color depth of 48-bit internally with a 24-bit output for enhanced color fidelity.
- Scan features include scan to PC (USB and network), scan to cloud, scan to email (SSL), network folder, LDAP support, scan to flash drive, scan to PDF, remove shadows/punch holes, and density adjustments.
- Copy speeds are possible at up to 22 ppm using the flatbed.
- Copy features include automatic 1-sided to 2-sided, 2-sided to 1-sided, and 2-sided to 2-sided, fit to page, automatic reduction and enlargement, ID copy, adjustable copy density, collation of 100 sheets, and adjustments to density, contrast, color, sharpness, and text enhancement.
- The fax modem offers a speed of 33.6 kbps and has memory for up to 180 pages. Additionally, it has 100 speed dial locations and can be sent up for PC fax with send/receive/fax to email/fax to folder.
- The 50-sheet automatic document feeder enables automatic 2-sided printing, copying, scanning, and faxing.
- Two print trays provide a 500-sheet total capacity as well as the ability to load multiple media types at once.
- A 4.3" color touchscreen allows for intuitive operation through touch- and swipe-based navigation.
