Product description The ETC Net3 N34G-4B Four-Port Gateway Chassis provides the basis for a data node for distribution of DMX information throughout lighting and computer systems using bidirectional Ethernet communication. This listing is for the Gateway Chassis only. The power supply is purchased separately (BH# ETPS406F). There are no DMX modules in this unit. Up to 4 modules can be installed by the user in whatever combination is required to suit a particular venue or event: DMX in, DMX out, DMX RJ45 or terminal strip.
The Gateway is a configurable gate for essential DMX, sACN and Remote Device Management data to be distributed throughout your entire network, ensuring not just basic control of your lights, but also peace of mind that all components are functioning as designed. RDM is a protocol enhancement to DMX512 that allows bi-directional communication between a lighting or system controller and attached RDM compliant devices over a standard DMX line. This protocol will allow configuration, status monitoring, and management of these devices in such a way that does not disturb the normal operation of standard DMX512 devices that do not recognize the RDM protocol. The Gateway is capable of handling up to 2048 channels of data in combination, input and output, when four modules are installed. The unit's LCD readout provides information on DMX port, RDM and network configurations.
The Gateway is fabricated from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel and is finished in fine-texture, scratch resistant black powder coat. - Supported Functions
