Product description The ETC Net3 N34G-4T Four-Port Gateway Rack-Mount Terminal Bundle provides connection for up to four DMX lines and is designed for customers who do not need typical DMX connectors for lighting control of their permanently installed systems. The bare wire is mounted into the terminal ports using the provided terminal prep kit. Included in the bundle is the Gateway unit with 4 terminal strip modules, a rack mount, and a universal power supply. By default, the bundle comes with terminal connectors for DMX wire and the appropriate preparation kit. If you are connecting to Category 5 wire for DMX, request the DMX termination preparation kit with IDC connectors from ETC when purchasing this bundle.
The Gateway is a configurable gate for essential DMX, sACN, and Remote Device Management data to be distributed throughout your entire network, ensuring not just basic control of your lights, but also peace of mind that all components are functioning as designed. Using bidirectional Ethernet communication the health of the data signal can be monitored. RDM is a protocol enhancement to DMX512 that allows bi-directional communication between a lighting or system controller and attached RDM-compliant devices over a standard DMX line. This protocol allows configuration, status monitoring, and management of these devices in such a way that does not disturb the normal operation of standard DMX512 devices that do not recognize the RDM protocol.The Gateway unit's LCD readout provides information on DMX terminal port, RDM, and network configurations. The modular design of the Net3 Gateway enables the user to tailor the number and type of inputs and outputs to suit a particular venue or location.
The terminal strip module comes with ETC's standard DMX termination preparation kit, which includes instructions and all parts required for installation. This bundle provides the user with the ability to mount the Gateway into a standard 19" control rack slot. Two Gateways can be mounted side-by-side if required. The Gateway is fabricated from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel and finished in fine-texture, scratch-resistant black powder coat. - Supported Functions
