Product description Ported directly from the H9 Harmonizer and available for download, Eventide’s MangledVerb is a plug-in designed to give you dirtier, grittier reverbs. It achieves these grimy tones by blending ambience controls with distortion, offering you the ability to create anything from warm, sonorous verbs to sonic cacophony.The path of the plug-in starts with a variable pre-delay control that routes into a stereo reverb section. This, in turn, feeds the distortion and wobble controls, which pile on overdrive and subtle detuning effects, respectively.Though MangledVerb excels in the mix process, it is also suitable for performance use with computerized live setups. One feature that facilitates this usage is the Ribbon control, which allows you to program two different settings and gradually morph between both of them on the fly. If you’d prefer to switch between different settings instantaneously, a programmable HotSwitch control lets you do this. MIDI control is provided for many parameters, including the Ribbon and the tap tempo feature.Presets (180 of them) are included with the plug-in, some of them created by artists such as Chris Carter, Vernon Reid, Richard Devine, and others. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows computers and works in AU, AAX, and VST formats. An iLok account is required to activate MangledVerb, though you need not purchase the dongle.
