It features multiple ports for connecting and powering PoE and non-PoE cameras, and a USB port to charge mobile devices and accessories. A built-in WiFi router provides direct wireless connectivity to smartphones and tablets to use the companion EF Sidekick app for Android and iOS mobile devices. The app provides access to the camera's live-view, PTZ, and audio functions right at the installation site, enabling the technician can stay on their ladder to set the camera position and focus without needing a laptop and long cables, or a second person monitoring from the control room and relaying directions.The Sidekick runs on a high-capacity rechargeable battery pack for working in the field or away from power outlets. A series of LEDs indicate the current battery charge in 20% intervals.
