Product description Designed for overclockers and games, the X299 Micro LGA 2066 Micro-ATX Motherboard from EVGA supports Intel Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors, along with U.2 and M.2. PCIe SSDs and Intel Optane Memory. It is designed to fit in micro-ATX sized cases, supports the LGA 2066 socket, the Intel X299 chipset, and is compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit).
The micro-ATX form factor of the X299 Micro can support 64GB of DDR4 RAM, or 16GB in each of the four 288-pin DIMM slots at memory speeds of 4000+ MHz (OC). It also has a total of 6 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports that support hot plug and RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, plus 1 x M.2 Socket 3 2242/2260/2280 Key M slot that supports NVMe PCIe and SATA SSDs, and 1 x U.2 slot (PCIe 3.0 x4). There is also one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port, and six USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, all external at the back panel, as well as one USB 3.1 Gen 1 header (supports two ports), and two USB 2.0 headers (supports four ports), all internal. For those looking to expand their system using PCIe, there are two PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 (x16) slots and one PCIe Gen 3.0 x16/x4 slot.
The X299 Micro does not support integrated graphics or have any video outputs, meaning that users will need to purchase a dedicated and compatible GPU of their choice. Once that GPU is installed, multi-GPU support is possible with 2-Way NVIDIA SLI + PhysX technology and 2-Way AMD CrossFire technology. Using the Realtek ALC1150 audio codec with 7.1-channel HD surround, this motherboard delivers audio with high fidelity, which can be output using the five integrated 3.5mm audio jacks or one optical S/PDIF output. Network connectivity can be achieved using the Intel i219V Gigabit Ethernet jack, or use the included 802.11ac Wi-Fi adapter in the M.2 Key E slot, which combined with Bluetooth 4.1 for pairing wireless peripherals such as keyboards, mice, headsets, and more.
EVGA's X299 Micro LGA 2066 Micro-ATX Motherboard includes an a rear case I/O panel, a rear case I/O cover, two SATA III data cables, an 802.11ac dual-band M.2 Key E Wi-Fi adapter, an M.2 thermal pad, enthusiast stickers, and a case badge. This motherboard is protected by a limited 3-year warranty.
Please note that RAM and PCIe availability and speeds depend upon the number of lanes on the installed Kaby Lake-X or Skylake-X CPU. The above info is based on a 44-lane Skylake-X CPU. Additional info is available on EVGA's site. General Features - Intel X299 Express Chipset
