Product description The Z390 Dark LGA 1151 E-ATX Motherboard from EVGA is an enthusiast-level board designed for users mainly looking to overclock and benchmark their hardware. Built with a 17-phase PWM and on the Intel Z390 chipset, it's compatible with 8th and 9th gen Intel Core i3, i5, and i9 Coffee Lake-S LGA 1151 processors, catering more so to high-end i9 CPUs. It's also equipped with two dual-channel DDR4 slots that support up to 32GB of 4600 MHz+ memory, eight SATA III ports, two M.2 slots, one U.2 port, three PCIe x16 slots, and a single PCIe x4 slot. To keep up with the hardware, there are multiple fan headers, temperature sensors, and system monitoring features located throughout the board. - Layout
- The Z390 Dark features two eight-pin CPU power connectors alongside the main 24-pin ATX connector placed at right-angles to help cable-management enthusiasts. Moreover, the CPU socket was rotated 90° counter-clockwise, so the memory could be placed at the top of the board. This results in an unobstructed front-to-back airflow for better system cooling without interference from the RAM and power cables.
- 10-Layer PCB
- Crafted from 10-layers of PCB with gold-plated shielding, the Z390 Dark is designed for stability, durability, and heavy loads.
- 17-Phase PWM
- The Z390 Dark features a 17-phase Digital VRM (12 VCore, 1 VSA, 1 VCCIO, 2VCT, 1 Phase Memory PWM) for stable power capable of handling Intel Core i9 processors.
- External BCLK / Clock Generators
- The external BCLK controller lets you fine-tune CFL-S system performance and the clock generator for PCIe stability and performance.
- Eight SATA Ports
- Two of the eight ports are controlled by ASMedia ASM1061, which provides limited Windows XP support for benching OS flexibility.
- PCIe Disable Switches
- The PCIe Disable switches lets you quickly turn off PCIe slots to troubleshoot or restore resources without having to physically remove the hardware.
- Triple BIOS Selection Switch
- Have three different BIOS profiles for overclocking, benching, 24/7 use, and switch between them as needed.
- SW Slow Mode Switch
- Lower the CPU ratio to the minimum in real-time reduce heat/power and increase stability between long benching sessions.
- ProbeIT Connectors
- Attach your own digital multimeter to the included ProbeIT adapter to monitor all your voltages in real-time.
- Creative Core3D Audio
- The Creative Core3D Audio quad-core processor provides you with 5.1-channel sound.
- EVGA NU Audio
- EVGA NU Audio is available via the front panel connector for a boost of power and audio quality for headphones or speakers.
- SafeBoot Button
- The SafeBoot button restarts the system into BIOS at safe settings in case the boards fails to POST.
