Using a direct-to-card dye sublimation or resin thermal transfer process, the Primacy can create vivid, detailed cards at resolutions starting at 300 x 300 dpi and going up to 300 x 1200 dpi. Also, the CR-80 system can produce up to 225 full color YMCKO cards or 1000 monochrome cards in just one hour. This specific model is capable of dual-sided printing as well with a speed of 140 cards per hour with a YMCKO-K ribbon. Along with this, the printer boasts edge-to-edge printing for card designs without limitations.
For operation, the Primacy can handle batch jobs with ease thanks to a 100 card input hopper and a 100 card output hopper. Along with this there is a 50-card reject box available to quickly and easily separate mistakes from a batch of otherwise good set. The printer is also simplified with notification and status LEDs on the front to serve as alerts for the user.
