Product description Introduce young explorers to digital microscopy using the 1.3MP Digital Handheld Microscope from Explore One. This versatile and compact microscope can be used as a handheld or mounted tabletop device. Its rubberized body is compact and lightweight and can be easily handled by youngsters. It contains control buttons on the tailcap and a protective clear bezel at the bottom. In addition to a handheld operation, the device can be placed on the stand via a holding bracket. The bracket is attached to a pillar stand and can be moved up and down to adjust the working distance or to obtain a better focus. In this configuration, the sample or a slide can be placed directly on the base and secured with two plastic clips. The base plate houses an LED illuminator underneath it. The clear bezel at the front tip allows for the scope to be placed on the table over a small sample for a close-up. For imaging, it's equipped with a 1.3MP digital sensor that allows streaming visual data to a PC via an attached USB cable. The USB cable also serves a power source for the microscope, while the illuminator in the base-plate is powered by two user-supplied AA batteries.
