Because it uses a SSD, which is constructed without any moving parts, it can endure more and perform faster than a traditional hard drive. Should the drive be compromised, it will still keep the data stored safe from unauthorized access even if it's removed from the housing. For security reasons, the drive will automatically lock itself and go to sleep after ten minutes of inactivity. In order to access the drive again, you must re-enter the pass code, which can be up to twelve digits long. With a USB 3.0 interface that supports speeds of up to 5 Gbps, the Datashield will let you quickly access and transfer your files from devices.
