Product description Farpoint's Dri-Shield Meade - 10" is a durable ABS front cover for Meade 10" SCT. There is an internal desiccant pack to dry the corrector plate while stored.
Dri-Shield is a series of durable front covers for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. These highly impact-resistant covers are made from ABS plastic, which will not dent, chip or deform, allowing them to fit snugly and always look their best. The cover has a full-diameter felt liner to keep dust and dirt away from your telescope's delicate corrector plate. A useful and unexpected addition to the Dri-Shield is a molded pocket that holds a rechargeable desiccant container. Now you can be free from worrying about moisture forming on your telescope's corrector plate. The desiccant can be regenerated in a microwave in just a few minutes, before you go out observing, and it has a lifetime of uses. Finally, the Dri-Shield covers have a raised center section, providing clearance and impact protection for those who choose to use aftermarket secondary collimation knobs.
