Product description Ideal for astronomy, bird watching, and a wide variety of other outdoor activities, the Farpoint Far-Sight Universal Binocular Mount Kit allows you to enjoy fatigue-free use with large-aperture/high-magnification astronomic binoculars, spotting scopes, smaller telescopes, and cameras.The parallelogram design allows movement along four axes for precise positioning and tracking whether you're standing or sitting, while using a counterbalance system for smooth movement and reduced vibration. Its hinged design lets you move the optic up and down through a wide range of motion, while keeping the binocular or other gear flat and parallel to the ground. Another hinge on the optic mount tray lets you swing it forward and back. The counterbalance system allows for precise balancing of a wide variety of gear, and with the two included 5-pound counterweights the mount has a 12-pound payload capacity.Primarily designed for binoculars, Farpoint includes their Far-Sight quick release binocular mount that enables you to install and remove your optic from the mount with minimal effort, while also providing a mounting surface on top for a dot-sight, to help find celestial objects in the sky, or subjects at extreme distances. The quick release mount includes a 1/4"-20 mounting screw that installs to your binocular's tripod mounting hole. The base of the parallelogram has a standard 3/8"-16 mount to fit most photo/video/field tripods, and a tripod is required to use it properly.
