Product description When setting up camp, cooking after dark, or just when you need to light a large area while keeping both hands free, the "ultimate edition" HP15 UE LED Headlight from Fenix is the illumination tool for you. It features a primary white Cree XM-L2 (U2) LED that produces five outputs from a minimum of 10 lumens to a blinding 30-second 900 lumen burst. In emergency situations the light can be set to repeat the Morse code SOS sequence at 50 lumens - which conserves battery power while still highly visible from long distances. The head tilts up to 60° with click-stop positions for precise beam placement where you need it. This lightweight tool has an anodized aluminum alloy chassis with a gray impact-resistant plastic cover. The housing is weatherproof to withstand driving rain and snow, and impact resistant to 3.3'. An adjustable headband is included with a removable top band. The light runs on four readily available AA Ni-MH or alkaline batteries, and Fenix provides four alkaline batteries to light your way out of the package. A separate battery compartment worn on the back of the headband not only redistributes the weight evenly to help prevent neck strain, but also allows for more batteries to be used, which boosts the output and runtimes versus lower-capacity compartments on models with an integrated battery compartment located within the light housing. - Performance
