Product description Designed to be versatile enough for use at home, on the trail, or on-duty, Fenix's LD09 LED Flashlight has been upgraded over previous iterations to be a more powerful illumination tool that still fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. Its 3-lumen low output is ideal for tasks like reading, while the 220-lumen high setting will light a trail or large area. If you use one AA alkaline battery instead of a 14500 Li-ion, all outputs remain the same but with different runtimes, and a lower turbo output of 130 lumens. An emergency SOS signal mode, when activated, automatically cycles through the Morse code sequence so you don't have to if you're incapacitated. To stand up to a long life in the field, the LD09's aluminum housing features a corrosion and scratch-resistant type III hard anodized finish. It is impact resistant to 3.3' and O-ring sealed to give it an IPX8-rating to be submersible to 6.6'. The emitter window is made of impact and scratch resistant glass with anti-reflection coatings to maximize light transmission. Multiple safety circuitries are in-place to protect the light from damage caused by incorrectly installed batteries or excessive heat. Additional circuitry detects the battery chemistry being used and adjusts the performance accordingly to maximize the battery life while digitally maintaining the output to provide a consistent beam intensity throughout the life of the battery charge. - Performance
