Product description Be confident in the night using the battle-ready ARMASIGHT by FLIR's PVS-14-51 3A Multi-Purpose Night Vision Monocular and Head Mount Kit. This no-nonsense kit includes an adjustable head mount, an adapter, and a new iteration of the legendary PVS-14 night vision monocular that offers a wider 51° angle of view than its peers and can withstand the harsh environment of the battlefield, including extreme temperatures and temporary water submersions. Furthermore, this compact device affords you the flexibility of using it as a monocular, a firearm- or headgear-mounted device (using the included harness and an adapter), or as a binocular when coupled to a similar device via optional adapters. At the core of this night vision device is a 3rd-generation image-intensifier tube (IIT) that converts infrared images into visible ones. The IIT is also enhanced with a bright light cutoff function for preserving the tube from accidental burnout by strong flashes and a manual gain for controlling image brightness and contrast. To improve close-range visibility and allow reading maps in total darkness, the device has a built-in illuminator. The lightweight yet durable composite polymer body enables you to venture almost anywhere. It offers heavily knurled rings and adjusters for a sure grip and a wide winged rubber eyecup to ensure a comfortable contact and to prevent leakage of light. Note: Export of this device described herein is strictly prohibited without a valid export license issued by the U.S. Department of State office of Defense Trade Controls, as prescribed in the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Title 22, Code of Federal Regulation, Parts 120-130, and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
