Monopods offer portable and lightweight stabilization, making them ideal for photographing sports and nature, or in scenarios where you may use a lens that is too heavy to comfortably hold while shooting.
The CM 30-L5 supports 35.3 lb, opens up to a maximum height of 70.9", and folds down to a compact 21.3". The legs utilize twist locks which allow the monopod to be opened in one fluid motion and then quickly locked. Twist locks also prevent dirt and moisture from damaging the leg's internal parts and provide uniform pressure to prevent unwanted lock slipping. The rubber foot on the monopod can be removed to reveal a steel spike for use on gravel, ice, grass, or other loose terrain.
This monopod is also equipped with a comfortable foam hand grip to enhance ease-of-use and a hand strap to prevent the monopod from getting away from you at the wrong moment. A reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting stud has been included with the monopod to allow either the mounting of a monopod head or direct mounting to your camera, lens, or camcorder.
