Product description - Clear headphones reviewed by Jude Mansilla from Head-Fi
Designed for audiophiles and Hi-Fi enthusiasts, the Focal Clear Headphones leverage the technology of other models, such as the Clear Professional, and pitch this technology toward a luxurious home-listening experience. These are open-backed, circumaural headphones with comfortable amenities in their construction. The 40mm drivers—a low-impedance, high-sensitivity design—yield a wide frequency response of 5 Hz to 28 kHz. Thanks to their copper voice coil, these aluminum/magnesium drivers excel at delivering dynamic range across the frequency spectrum. The bass will never overwhelm, and the high-end will always display linearity. In short, they are accurate. 20mm-thick ear cushions made from perforated microfiber fabric give you an open design intended to make you forget that you're listening through headphones. A leather and perforated microfiber headband foster comfort in prolonged listening sessions without introducing sonic interference or degradation. These headphones are aimed for the Hi-Fi crowd, and as such, they offer a variety of cabling options, including a 3.9' balanced cable with a 4-pin XLR connection. Using this cable, you can pair the headphones with your favorite compatible headphone amplifier. Also included are 3.5mm and 1/4" cables, as well as a 1/4" adapter. Whichever cable you choose will lock into your headphones through 3.5mm jack sockets at the bottom of each earcup. A hardshell carrying case is included. - Key Features at a Glance
