Product description - Ushering in a New Era Focal Elear
- Focal Elear and Utopia Launch (With Impressions) - Head-Fi TV
Designed for music lovers who consider themselves audiophiles, these Focal Elear Headphones sport an over-ear, open-back construction to facilitate a high-resolution experience. Not only that, these headphones employ a proprietary 40mm driver made of aluminum-magnesium in an M-shaped dome. This dome eschews crossovers or passive filters in its design. What does this mean for you? A flat, natural frequency response between 5 Hz and 23 kHz. Listening comfort is augmented by physical amenities, such as an adjustable leather headband, one mounted around an aluminum yoke that can fit all manners of head shapes. The 20mm-thick memory foam cushions supplied are fashioned from microfiber, and they aid in bringing you comfort throughout prolonged listening sections. The headphones offer a 9.8' oxygen-free copper cable that terminates in a 1/4" plug. The cable is detachable from the headphones, and plugs into the earcups by means of 3.5mm connections. A case is also included.
