Product description Film Directing Fundamentals, 3rd Ed will guide you through the process of translating a script to the screen. The ability and talent of taking a screenplay and transforming it to a real movie is one that takes time and practice. Starting with a basic script, the author takes you through the analysis stage of the words and how you then morph it into a movie. The book doesn't presume that you are a seasoned director but takes you through the process from step one - a learning process. Along with the book there is a sample screenplay that magnifies the concepts taught within the book. About the Author: Nicholas Proferes is a Professor of Film at the Film Division, School of the Arts, Columbia University where he has taught directing for more than 25 years. He has worked extensively in the film industry as a director, cameraman, editor, and producer in both documentary and dramatic/narrative films. Table of Contents
