Product description How to Use ND Filters: Tips, Tricks, and Special Effects Read More assqcdsuwweaffxrtv Offering greater control over exposures, this 105mm Multistop Variable Neutral Density Filter from Formatt Hitech is a 1-6-stop variable ND that allows you to precisely adjust the amount of neutral density from scene to scene. By rotating the front of the filter, the effective neutral density can be quickly changed from 0.3 to 1.8 to suit working in different lighting conditions.
This filter features an oversized, non-threaded, rotating front filter ring to help avoid vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses. The ring is constructed from lightweight, durable aluminum alloy and the filter itself is made from broadcast-grade Schott optical glass to maintain high image clarity. - Variable neutral density filter allows you to dial in differing amounts of density scene to scene.
- 0.3 to 1.8 neutral density filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
- Providing a reduction of 1 to 6 stops, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
- Offers increased flexibility to use specific ISO settings under bright ambient light as well as greater exposure control while using cinema or video cameras within a designated film frame rate.
- Schott broadcast-quality optical glass maintains image quality and color rendering.
- Extra-large, threadless filter ring reduces the likelihood of vignetting when used with a wide-angle lens. The ring is also constructed from lightweight, durable aluminum alloy.
