Product description Designed for photographers looking to truly lengthen exposure times, the Formatt-Hitech 165 x 165mm Firecrest ND Joel Tjintjelaar Long Exposure Filter Kit #2 for Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 Lens is a versatile kit containing 10-stop, 13-stop, and 16-stop solid neutral density filters as well as the 165mm Lucroit Filter Holder and a dedicated adapter ring for the Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 lens. Part of the Firecrest series, these ND filters allow you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required in order to better control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Also included within this kit is a dedicated exposure chart to help gauge how much to increase your exposure times, as well as an exclusive booklet containing photographs and insight from photographer Joel Tjintjelaar.
The design of these filters have been optimized for use with digital sensors and promote nearly flat attenuation of visible, UV, and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. These filters provide a high level of neutrality across all three spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks.
Applied to the outside of the Schott Superwite glass construction is a 15-layer Firecrest multi-coating, which helps to minimize reflections and flare in order maintain truer colors and contrast. The multi-coating is also scratch-resistant and hydrophobic to benefit the overall durability of the filters. Each measures 165 x 165mm and is 0.08" / 2mm-thick. - Solid Neutral Density Filters
- The included 165 x 165mm Firecrest ND 3.0, 3.9, and 4.8 Filters are solid neutral density filters providing 10, 13, and 16 stop reductions in exposure, respectively. The consistent density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

- The filter holder is compatible with all 6.5" / 165mm-wide rectangular filters and is capable of rotating a full 360° to better suit the use of graduated neutral density filters and other filter types that are enhanced by varying positioning. The filter holder adapter ring attaches the filter holder to the lens using a rubber retaining ring to bayonet mount system for a precise and secure connection.

- An exposure chart is included to benefit the use of the incredibly dense filters. Since the filters require a substantial amount of additional exposure in order to produce well-exposed results, this chart helps with understanding the necessary calculations to exposure times.
