Product description The Formatt Quick Start 3 DV/HDV Special Effects Filter Kit is specifically designed for use with High Definition filming. The Low Contrast and Soft Effects filters will prove to be a useful tool for serious amateur and professional videographers. Soft Effects Clear 3 Glass Filter
Formatt Soft Effects filters produce clean, predictable, repeatable distortion effects for HD (High Definition) and are manufactured using a revolutionary process that essentially creates an optical distortion throughout the filter. This clean distortion is the result of strategically placed optical dots within the filter surface, which creates an even softening with the object and is quite pleasing to the eye. Formatt Low Contrast Filters
are for use when the sun is too bright and the shadows too dark and it is difficult to get good detail in both at the same time. Formatt Low Contrast Filters reduce contrast by allowing more shadow detail to be visible. Supermist Black 1/2 Glass Filter
The Formatt Supermist Black filter softens fine detail and reduces contrast but is more subtle than a standard Supermist with less lightening of shadow areas. Note: This kit does not come with a storage pouch - The secret to Formatt's consistency in filter design lies in its unique "Absorbing Cell Technology" (A.C.T.); This unique process allows color correct dyes to be applied to optically pure, wafer thin absorbing cells and offers a controllability that ensures the smoothest grad lines and consistent color across the whole filter surface.
