Product description The 5 x 5" Net Black 2 Filter from Formatt takes its style from the old masters of Hollywood who used to place a grid over a filter to achieve a diffusion effect. This net pattern lowers contrast and softens skin blemishes while maintaining image clarity. Soft Net Black #2 filters will show maximum diffusion. Contrast is minimized and the image will take on more of an old Hollywood glamour shot Please note, care must be paid to your choice of depth of field so that the grid pattern does not show up in the image. There's nothing better for a wedding or portrait photographer than to have a filter that offers a flattering alternative to a standard wedding portrait. The Formatt Net Black filter can help bring down contrast in bright situations and turn what would normally be a harsh image, into one that is more even-toned and romantic. This filter is best used to correct minor skin imperfections. Absorbing Cell Technology - The secret to Formatt's consistency in filter design lies in its unique "Absorbing Cell Technology" (A.C.T.); this unique process allows color correct dyes to be applied to optically pure, wafer thin absorbing cells and offers a controllability that ensures the smoothest grad lines and consistent color across the whole filter surface
- This process is revolutionary compared with conventional filter dying techniques by eliminating the need to directly coat the glass surface itself; the repeatable performance gained through A.C.T. ensures that at any time you have to swap like filters for like filters mid shoot you can do so with confidence with no discernible differences in color or density
