Product description The 6.5 x 6.5" Warm Clear Movie Mist 1/2 Filter from Hitech is a portrait filter with applications for outdoor shooting as well. It is Hitech's Clear Movie Mist filter with a warming factor added. Although targeted to the MPTV market, it has definite applications for the still photographer as well. This diffusion filter brings a sense of warmth to the shot along with reduced contrast. However, details remain sharp. It's best use is for disguising or smoothing out facial imperfections.The grade 1/2 Warm Clear Movie Mist filter provides a minimal way to reduce facial imperfections. Highlights are boosted, contrast is reduced slightly but no detail is lost.Hitech filters are made from CR39 resin. The filters are produced to exacting tolerances that permit you to change filters mid-shoot or from day to day and know that your image quality will remain consistent.The Hitech filter system is made by Formatt - an English company that is renowned for its high manufacturing standards and consistency of quality. Their CR39 resin is manufactured in large sheets that are oven cured. Their exclusive Absorbing Cell Technology absorbs color as opposed to other filters that are coated. Once cured, they are sliced up to create individual filters. In this way, maximum consistency is maintained from filter to filter.
