Product description How to Use ND Filters: Tips, Tricks, and Special Effects Read More cffdrvrtazcfzuxtczqsevwtruy The Formatt Hitech 67x85mm Solid Neutral Density and Soft Edge Graduated Neutral Density Master Filter Kit is designed for use with the Formatt Hitech 67mm Aluminum Modular Holder and includes six filters, three of which are solid neutral density filters and another three of which are graduated neutral density filters.
The three solid neutral density filters within this kit have filter factors of 2x, 4x, or 8x that provide 1, 2, and 3-stop reductions in exposure, respectively. Their 0.3, 0.6, or 0.9 densities each create a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required in order to better control depth of field or convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
The three graduated neutral density filters in this kit each help to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. These filters are densest at their edges and taper to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. Graduated neutral density filters also do not affect the coloration of the image and where the density of these three filters is most pronounced, they provide up to 1, 2, and 3-stop reductions of light respectively, from entering the lens.
Each filter in this kit is constructed from optical resin for clarity as well as color fidelity and measures 1.5mm thick. A carrying pouch is also included with this filter kit. - 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9 solid neutral density filters with 2x, 4x, or 8x filter factors darken the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
- Solid neutral density filters providing a 1, 2, or 3-stop exposure reduction, allowing you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
- Darkening bright areas of an image, such as skies, graduated neutral density filters leave the remainder of the frame unaffected.
- Graduated neutral density filters with up to 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9 densities and filter factors of up to 2x, 4x or 8x respectively, provide up to 1, 2, or 3-stop reductions of light in selective areas.
- Filters do not affect coloration of the image and are ideal for use with other filters.
- Constructed from CR-39 optical resin for clarity and color fidelity.
- Filter pouch included for storage and transport.
