Product description The 82mm Hard-Edge Whisky 2 Filter from Formatt Hitech can be used to add a whisky-colored tint to complement an existing sunrise or sunset within a scene, or to otherwise enhance a hazy or colorless sky. When used to enhance the sky within an image, the desired effect can be applied only to the sky, without any unwanted changes to any other part of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A graduated filter with a hard-edged line of transition is useful for images which include defined horizon lines.
Constructed from Schott B270 glass for increased optical clarity as well as color fidelity, the Formatt Hitech 82mm Hard-Edge Whisky 2 Filter also features an aluminum-alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight. The filter ring can be rotated in order to ensure that the glass's line of transition is properly aligned with the horizon or a similarly defined area within a scene.
This filter has a grade of 2. Grades of 1 and 3 are also available where this filter type's effect becomes approximately twice as strong with each grade number increase. -
