Product description The Formatt 86mm Soft Low Contrast Warming 3 Filter is another in Formatt's excellent line of diffusion and refraction filters. This is a useful filter when you need to hide any small imperfections in your subject's skin. In addition, this filter can be used as a low contrast filter since it permits more detail in the shadow areas. The added benefit of this filter is that it adds a nice warmth to the photo. When shooting in open shade or on cloudy days, the tone of the light tends to be bluish/gray - not flattering to skin tones. This filter will bring back a natural "warmth" to the skin giving your subject a healthier more natural appearance. HD technology is known for being ultra sharp which leads to revealing every imperfection in a subject's face. In order to compensate for this effect and take some of the edge off these sharp cameras and lenses, Formatt has designed filters to minimize the effect. An additional benefit is the opening of shadow areas for more detail in the shot.
