Product description The Formatt 95mm Hot Mirror Filter design incorporates a dielectric mirror in order to filter out infrared light pollution that is common when photographing with a digital or HD camera. This situation is also naturally prevalent when photographing near strong sources of infrared, such as fires and at sunset. The hot mirror filter effectively cuts out infrared wavelengths but does not interfere with visible red wavelengths.
The hot mirror coated CR-39 resin is sandwiched between 2 layers of high-quality Schott glass in order to provide full protection and optical clarity. - Hot mirror filtration incorporates a dielectric mirror in order to filter out infrared light pollution that is common when photographing with a digital camera in strong infrared situations.
- Ideal for use with HD cameras without an integrated infrared-blocking filter.
- Formatt filters combine high-quality Schott glass with specially formulated CR-39 resin in order to protect delicate coatings while still garnering the benefits of optical glass.
