Product description The ArtFX ColorFlare FUSION Smart AF Adapter for Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera from FotodioX is a kit that provides the ability to use a Canon EF- or EF-S-mount lens on a Sony E-mount camera while applying creative lens flare effects. Its partially transparent construction allows light to enter in between the connected lens and camera, which can result in uniformly diffused images. To direct the additional light permitted by the adapter along specific areas within a frame, two black light-blocking silicone bands, each with six evenly distributed holes along their surfaces, are included. Depending on their orientation to the primary source of light, those holes help create results that are reminiscent of pictures from toy cameras that are frequently chosen for an aesthetic associated with vignetting, lens blurs, light leaks, or other lens distortions.
Any of this kit's three black light-blocking silicone bands without holes along their surfaces can be used when no lens flare effects are desired, or their surfaces can be cut to create custom-sized openings for more varied lens flare effects. By first positioning any one of the kit's translucent orange, red, green, blue, or purple plastic bands under a black silicone band that includes holes, color can be added to the lens flares that appear in images created while this adapter is in use.
This ArtFX ColorFlare FUSION Smart AF Adapter is also designed to support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens. If the lens includes autofocus, image stabilization, as well as camera-controlled aperture functions, this adapter is intended to allow those features to be used. If an attached lens is also capable of generating EXIF metadata when used with a directly compatible camera, this ArtFX ColorFlare FUSION Smart AF Adapter is designed to allow that information to be saved along with image files generated with a combination of the lens, a Sony E-mount camera, and the adapter. By enabling camera-controlled aperture functions for a Canon EF- or EF-S-mount lens when used with a Sony E-mount camera, program, shutter priority, aperture priority, as well as manual modes can be set and used through the camera.
The ArtFX ColorFlare FUSION Smart AF Adapter for Canon EF- or EF-S-mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera is constructed with aluminum alloy mounting rings for durability and minimized weight, and can be used to connect Canon EF or third-party full-frame EF-mount lenses to a Sony E-mount camera with a full-frame sensor without vignetting. It may be used to adapt Canon EF-S or third-party APS-C EF-mount lenses to a full-frame Sony E-mount camera as well. However, Sony E-mount cameras with a full-frame sensor must be set to crop mode when combined with this adapter and Canon EF-S or third-party APS-C EF-mount lenses, to avoid generating images with vignetting. -
