Product description How to Use ND Filters: Tips, Tricks, and Special Effects Read More Offering increased control over exposures, the Pro 145mm Ultra Slim ND 1.5 Filter from Fotodiox is a neutral density filter used to darken the entire image, thereby allowing you to increase exposure times or work with a wider aperture setting than usually required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. The ND 1.5 density of this filter requires a 5-stop increase in exposure to achieve a normal exposure.
The filter is made from organic optical glass, which has been multi-coated to maintain image quality when working in strong lighting conditions. The glass is set in a 3mm-thick anodized aluminum ring that is lightweight, durable, and slim to help prevent vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses. - Neutral density 1.5 filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
- Providing a 5-stop exposure reduction, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
- Filter does not affect coloration of the image and is ideal for use with other filters.
- Optical glass construction is multi-coated to reduce reflections and maintain image quality.
