Product description The Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter Canon FD/FL to Sony FZ Mount allows you to use available lenses that feature an FD/FL mount to fit on a camera body with a Sony FZ mount, such as the Sony PMW F3, F5, and F55. The adapter is for use with manual iris and focus lenses, and features an iris adjustment ring. This allows you to pre-set your lenses iris, and then with the adapter on the lens, you can rotate the adjustment ring to open; this will completely open the lenses iris. Rotating the adjustment ring to lock closes down the lenses iris ring to your pre-set stop.
The adapter allows TTL (Through-The-Lens) metering, and when using a lens with the adapter, the camera body should be set to either manual exposure or aperture priority mode. Some vignetting may occur on the long end of a zoom lens or when shooting with a small iris opening. This is a lens mount adapter designed to attach to the lens itself; it is not meant to permanently adapt the mount of the camera. The adapter mounts to the lens and is removable, so you can use one adapter on many different lenses. The adapter is precision made from brass with a stainless steel finish for a solid fit that ensures the correct flange focal distance is maintained, so your lens can reach infinity focus. - For use with manual focus and iris lenses. The adapter incorporates an iris adjustment the mechanically links to the iris of the lens. Rotating the adjustment ring to open will cause the lenses iris ring to open completely. Rotating the ring to lock will stop the lens down to whatever f/stop you have preset. Please note that the adjustment ring does not step the iris of the lens through the range, it only opens or closes the lenses iris, and it is only accurate in when the adjustment ring is set to either open or lock.

- Infinity remains unchanged, so the lens does not need to be re-collimated or shimmed.
