Product description The Pro Lens Mount Adapter Kit for Contarex-Mount Lens to Fujifilm G-Mount Camera from FotodioX includes two adapters, one of which allows a Contarex-mount lens to be used with a Leica M-mount camera, while the other adapter allows a Leica M-mount lens to be used on a Fujifilm G-mount camera. When combined, the two adapters allow a Contarex-mount lens to be used with a Fujifilm G-mount camera.
Together, as well as individually, these adapters are designed to support focusing to infinity. The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Contarex-Mount Lens to Leica M-Mount Camera is constructed from brass and aluminum-alloy while the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Leica M-Mount Lens to Fujifilm G-Mount Camera is also constructed with brass. Both adapters feature stainless-steel lens mounting rings to provide a durable, yet lightweight camera-to-lens or camera-to-adapter connection.
These adapters do not support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens. To control the amount of light that enters a Fujifilm G-mount camera when using this adapter kit, or a Leica M-mount camera when using the compatible adapter and a Leica M-mount lens, an aperture-control ring is built into the Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Contarex-Mount Lens to Leica M-Mount Camera. This control ring couples with the lens's aperture mechanism so that adjustments to brightness as well as depth-of-field can be made. It features clickless stop adjustments to help prevent unwanted noise from being recorded while capturing video with sound.
Also, if an attached camera is capable of generating optical EXIF metadata when used with a directly-compatible and similarly-capable lens, the Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Contarex-Mount Lens to Leica M-Mount Camera is designed to allow such information to be saved along with image files generated with a combination of a lens, a compatible Leica M-mount digital camera, and the adapter. To utilize that feature, this adapter features six pits along its rear in a manner similar to a Leica-M mount lens that is designed to be able to generate EXIF metadata when used with a directly-compatible digital camera. Those pits can be filled in with black and white paints according to one of Leica's 6-bit encoding patterns to permanently designate which type of lens the attached camera should assume is being placed on the adapter. -
