Product description The 10x40 Stedi-Eye Monolite-C Image Stabilized Monocular from Fraser Optics is a fully multicoated optical device designed for long-range observations from unstable viewing platforms on the ground, in the air, or at sea. Designed to withstand long-term use in demanding weather conditions, the Monolite has a rugged slip-resistant armoring and its housing is waterproof, submersible, and buoyant. The housing is made of a lightweight polycarbonate material that is designed to reduce weight and user fatigue for long-duration observation, while adding corrosion, temperature and impact resistance. This binocular uses gyro stabilization technology to correct up to 98% of image motion caused by hand tremor and platform motion. As the optical housing pitches and/or rolls, the gyro mechanism compensates for the motion by mechanically orienting the prisms in the opposite direction. This process of stabilization occurs in real time and corrects motion on the pitch and roll axes within 8°. It can run for up to 8 continuous hours on single CR123 battery, and an optional external power pack is available for extended use. One haze and one polarized lens filter are provided for challenging and high-glare environments. A hard protective case with a die-cut foam insert is also included. - Performance
