Product description The MDC-MK4 Magellan Down-Converter from FSR is a down-converter designed for use in churches, schools, hotels, live events, or any application that requires a high-resolution computer signal to be translated to a standard television feed. Because this unit supports HD and computer input and output, it is also well suited for use as a transcoder in mixed-format applications. Computer resolutions up to 2k x 2k and HD resolutions up to 1080p are supported. Output can be set to NTSC or PAL and will support standard definition composite, S-video, and component video simultaneously. Alternatively, the unit can also output a standalone HD component video feed. The unit can be controlled via front-panel pushbuttons, an on-screen menu system, or remote control software via a serial connection on a Windows PC. Detection of input resolution is automatic and the output signal is sized automatically to the desired output format. Other features include variable pan & zoom, one-button switching, and a multi-line active scaler to maintain color accuracy and eliminate flickering. - Down-Converter & Transcoder
