  • X-T1 IR Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body Only)
    • FUJIFILM X-T1 Promotional Video
Based on a proven design but modified for specialized photographic applications, the Fujifilm X-T1 IR is a unique mirrorless digital camera that allows you to photograph both UV and IR wavelengths, in addition to the visible spectrum. This updated design passes 380-1000nm, compared to the approximate 400-700nm range of most cameras, allowing you to photograph subjects that are otherwise rendered invisible. This extended range is suitable for forensic, crime scene investigation, and healthcare applications.

Aside from the distinct spectral sensitivity, the X-T1 IR is identical to the X-T1 in nearly all other aspects. It features a 16.3 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor and an EXR Processor II to produce high-resolution imagery and full HD video with an expandable sensitivity range from ISO 100-25600 as well as a top continuous shooting rate of 8 fps. Fujifilm's proprietary X-Trans sensor uses a unique randomized pixel array in order to avoid the use of a resolution-reducing optical low-pass filter, therefore providing images with the utmost sharpness and clarity. This imaging system is benefitted by the Intelligent Hybrid AF system, which uses both contrast- and phase-detection methods to acquire focus quickly and accurately. Enhanced manual focusing capabilities are also a result of these technologies; Digital Split Image and Focus Highlight Peaking are two methods for quickly and precisely determining focus using intelligent focusing aids for improved control and optimized efficiency.

For image monitoring, review, and menu navigation, both a 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.0" 1.04m-dot tilting LCD screen are available. The body design extends this versatility through the implementation of manual, physical control dials on the top plate of the camera as well as customizable buttons and a Q Menu button for expedited access to some of the most useful settings. This control scheme further enables an intuitive built-in Wi-Fi system for direct sharing of imagery to an Android or iOS mobile device for instant sharing online. Note: This item can only be sold to police departments, forensic nursing departments, medical specialist agencies, corporate organizations or government entities, and consultants to those organizations and entities that are operating in the United States. Proof must be demonstrated that the purchasing agency intends to use the X-T1 IR for forensics purposes.
      Dedicated to Infrared Photography
    • While nearly identical to the standard X-T1, the X-T1 IR features modified imaging capabilities that enable it to pass both UV and IR wavelengths, in addition to standard visible light. This extended sensitivity, from approximately 380 to 1000nm, supports a greater range of specialized shooting and scientific needs, such as law enforcement crime scene investigation, healthcare diagnostics and observation, document duplication and reproduction imaging, and other technical applications.
      16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II Sensor
    • A large 16.3MP APS-C CMOS image sensor is integrated into the X-T1 IR to provide high image quality and detail. Using Fujifilm's unique X-Trans bespoke pixel array, the sensor is designed with a randomized pixel pattern to eliminate the need of an optical low-pass filter for reducing moiré and aliasing. By removing this filter from the design, higher image sharpness is possible. Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO) factors are also taken into account using the EXR Processor II, which helps to automatically compensate for aberrations and diffraction blur in order to produce images with the utmost inherent sharpness.

The X-Trans sensor also works to provide highly effective noise reduction and a clean signal-to-noise ratio. This enables smoother-looking imagery that becomes especially apparent when photographing in low-light situations with an expanded sensitivity range of ISO 100-25600. Additionally, a top continuous shooting rate of 8 fps is possible, for up to 47 consecutive frames, to benefit working with moving subject matter.
      EXR Processor II
    • Aside from benefitting low-light performance, the EXR Processor II also provides quick performance throughout the entire camera system. The camera start-up time is about 0.5 seconds, shutter lag is about 0.05 seconds, and the shooting interval time is about 0.5 seconds. A fast autofocus performance speed of 0.08 seconds is also enabled using the advanced Intelligent Hybrid AF system using both contrast- and phase-detection focusing methods.
Intelligent Hybrid AF and Enhanced Manual Focus
    • Intelligent Hybrid AF is a quick, responsive autofocus system that employs both contrast- and phase-detection methods to acquire focus quickly in a wide variety of lighting conditions and shooting situations. Clear focus can quickly be attained to aid in catching fast-paced movement more easily. Three focus modes are available (AF-S, AF-C, and M) for greater control over how the X-T1 IR achieves sharp focus. When working with autofocus, the AF area is divided into a 49-point matrix in order to gain clear focus of any type of subject matter. Additionally, a built-in AF assist lamp is available for aiding the focus system when photographing in low-light situations.

When working with manual focus, two additional features can be employed for enhanced critical focusing in a more controllable manner. By using the phase-detection pixels located on the imaging sensor, Digital Split Image technology is able to assist in acquiring precise focus through the implementation of four striped focusing aids; akin to a rangefinder focusing method, once these stripes have been lined up, sharp focus can be ensured. Also contributing to manual focus accuracy, Focus Peak Highlight has been integrated and enables a more objective system of focusing by way of highlighting sharp edges and lines of contrast, using one of three colors, once they are in focus.
      Multi Mode Real Time Viewfinder
    • An advanced electronic viewfinder has been incorporated into the X-T1 IR's design to support clear eye-level monitoring along with a host of unique viewing features to better support a more efficient overall workflow. The Real Time Viewfinder is comprised of a 2,360k-dot OLED display and features an exceptionally high magnification of 0.77x, along with a 31° angle of view. This perspective is further complemented by the 0.005 sec. lag time, which smoothly and seamlessly renders scenes and moving subjects.

Beyond the technical aspects of the viewfinder, an adaptable graphical user interface has also been designed to increase efficiency during shooting. Four different viewing modes are available:
      • FULL: This mode takes advantage of the high magnification ratio of the viewfinder and produces an image that fills the majority of the viewfinder in an unobstructed manner. Shooting information is presented at the top and bottom edges and does not interfere with the image frame itself.
      • NORMAL: This mode enables you to focus on the composition at hand while still having an in-depth understanding of camera settings and shooting conditions.
      • VERTICAL: When the camera is held in a vertical orientation, the information display automatically rotates so it is facing upright for easier reading of camera settings. When working in this mode, images can also be reviewed in the vertical orientation.
      • DUAL: Serving to benefit those working with manual focus, this mode presents a split screen view of the scene where you see both a regular view as well as the Focus Assist View (Focus Highlight Peaking and Digital Split Image) at the same time, allowing you to concentrate on the image composition as well as critical focus accuracy.

In addition to the four viewing modes, the shooting information displayed within the viewfinder can also be customized to suit one's needs. 19 different settings can be toggled on or off depending on preference.
      Classic Camera Design
    • Featuring a body design reminiscent of SLR film cameras, the X-T1 IR exhibits a meshing of both analog exposure controls along with intelligent automated technologies. The clean and functional body design incorporates physical shutter speed, ISO, drive mode, AF mode, and +/- 3 EV exposure compensation double-deck precision-milled aluminum alloy dials that pair well with the manual aperture rings found on many of the XF lenses for intuitive exposure setting selection. Depending on individual needs, six customizable buttons, dual command dials, and an easily-accessible Q Menu provide an efficient solution for modifying some of the most frequently used camera settings, such as ISO, white balance, and file settings. • 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter The B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter is an ultraviolet and infrared control filter that is useful for digital cinematography as well as still photography. While recording video with a CCD or CMOS camera, multi-stop neutral-density filters are used to maintain proper exposure by compensating for increased light levels when widening the camera lens's iris to obtain a narrower depth of field. As the increased amount of light passes through multi-stop neutral-density filtration, visible light is progressively blocked, while infrared light is allowed to pass through. As the proportion of infrared light that reaches the sensor of a camera being used for digital cinematography becomes greater, the results can show unwanted color shifts, particularly in dark areas of the frame such as shadows where the appearance of black is dominant.

When the B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter is applied, 88% of ultraviolet light waves are blocked at 380 nanometers along with 95% of infrared light waves at 700 nanometers, helping to ensure that light falling on a digital camera sensor is limited to the visible spectrum. When used along with multi-stop neutral-density filters while recording with a digital sensor, potential infrared color shifts are prevented or minimized, preserving color accuracy throughout the frame. This filter may also be used to help ensure that the appearance of unwanted blue casts is reduced while recording digital video or still photos under daylight that also features intense ultraviolet light.

The front surface of a B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter includes thirty layers of interference coatings which allow it to limit the light that falls on a digital camera sensor to the visible spectrum. When combined with a wide-angle lens, lower-frequency wavelengths of visible light associated with yellow, orange, and red colors passing through the filter and along that lens type's curved edges can be impeded in a significantly greater degree than higher-frequency wavelengths of visible light associated with blue and violet colors. This can result in an unwanted cool cast along the edges of an image taken with a B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter and a wide-angle lens. To avoid such color shifts along the edges of an image when using this filter, it is recommended not to be used with lenses that are intended to provide an angle of view greater than 60°.

Eight layers of anti-reflection coating are included on the rear glass surface of this B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) prevents internal ghosting and reflections, offers protection to the filter substrate, and helps its rear surface to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters.

B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. The B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability and jamming prevention, as well as 67mm front filter threads that allow it to be paired with other filter types. When in use, but not combined with another filter that provides a specific effect, it is recommended to place a clear, protective filter over the B+W 67mm UV/IR Cut MRC 486M Filter to prevent damage to its front interference coatings.
    • 88% of ultraviolet light waves are blocked at 380 nanometers, before which they are further removed, reducing bluish cast of daylight when recording video or still photos.
    • 95% of infrared light waves are blocked at 700 nanometers, after which they are progressively eliminated.
    • Useful with CCD or CMOS sensors to filter out infrared light pollution that cause color shifts frequently associated with high-definition recording with multi-stop neutral-density filters.
    • Does not require adjustments to exposure while in use.
    • Thirty layers of interference coatings on front surface limits light that falls on a digital camera sensor to the visible spectrum.
    • Multicoated rear surface prevents internal ghosting and reflections.

  • 39mm UV Black (403) Filter The B+W 39mm UV Black (403) Filter is a specialized filter used to block visible light while allowing UV A radiation (320-385nm) to pass through. This filter differs significantly to the more well known UV filter, which does the opposite by blocking UV radiation. The UV Black filter visibly appears completely black and is used in combination with specially sensitized films for applications such as forensic photography, material research, and fluorescence photography. Depending on the illumination and materials being used, the filter factor ranges from 8 to 20 (3 to 4.3 stops).

B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.
    • Used for ultraviolet reflection photography in forensics or material research applications.
    • Can be used as a filter for a UV-emitter when working in fluorescence photography.

  • 39mm IR Dark Red 092 Filter Dedicated to infrared photography, the 39mm IR Dark Red 092 Filter from B+W is a specialized filter for both digital and film photography. It has a nearly opaque, dark purple appearance when held to light, and is designed to block all visible spectrum light up to 650nm. To produce surreal effects, the 092 filter allows only 50% of light pass just below 700nm, and from 720-2000nm more than 90% of IR radiation passes. Since most infrared films are sensitive up to 1000nm, this transmitted red portion of the spectrum still affects the exposure. Due to the nature of infrared photography, the filter factor for this filter is highly variable and depends largely on your film sensitivity and lighting conditions.

This specialized filter is uncoated and uses high-quality Schott glass for its construction to maintain imaging integrity and optical clarity. It also features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

  • 39mm Infrared 093 Filter The B+W 39mm Infrared 093 Filter corresponds to a Wratten 87C filter and is designed to help capture images of how a subject reflects or transmits infrared light.

Infrared light waves occupy the space in the electromagnetic spectrum behind visible light due to their longer wavelengths. Many surfaces and materials react to, or emit infrared light waves differently than visible light waves, which provide the potential for photographs of subjects or subject properties that are otherwise invisible to the human eye. Such images require an infrared-sensitive medium such as infrared film or a digital photographic sensor which may be more effective when used without the infrared-blocking filters that are frequently built over them.

Conventional light sources such as the sun, photographic strobes, or incandescent lighting may be used to provide infrared illumination. However, because infrared films or digital photographic sensors can be more sensitive to the relatively higher energy and shorter-wavelength visible light those sources also emit, the effects of infrared light can be otherwise obscured. The B+W 39mm Infrared 093 Filter makes it possible to capture images of how subjects are illuminated by infrared light by blocking near-infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light waves while allowing approximately 88% of infrared light waves 900nm or greater into the lens it is mounted onto.
