Product description BDF Modern Retro from FXpansion is a drum sample expansion pack for the company's BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 acoustic drum software, featuring a pair of kits that helped define the drum sound of the 90's and early 2000's. The pack combines extensive details with varied microphone channels and beater types to provide a set of drums with a wide timbral range. Mix-ready presets offer a variety of pop/rock-oriented sounds, although the pack is perfect for all modern genres that require detailed and powerful-sounding drums.
The seventy-two instruments include 1997 Sonor Designer and late 90s Tama Starclassic kits, Ludwig and Tama snares and a suite of cymbals and hi-hats by Zildjian, Ufip, Paiste, Turkish, and Sabian. Many sounds feature hotrod or brush versions, while kicks are represented by plastic and felt beater versions, all recorded with four direct microphones. The ambience of the recording space was captured with two sets of overhead and room microphones. Table of Contents
